5 Days Queen Elizabeth & Semuliki Tour

This safari takes you to Semuliki National Park for chimp tracking and game drive and finally to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a game drive and launch cruise along the famous kazinga Channel and into Lake Albert:

Day1: Drive to Semuliki National Park.
You will be picked up from your Hotel by your Safari guide and depart by road to Semuliki Wildlife Reserve. The drive will take approximately 6-7 hours, arriving in the afternoon. It will take you down the Eastern side of Lake Albert. The journey will give you a chance to see Ugandan homes, seasonal and permanent wet lands among other. Have the first stop over at fort portal for lunch; arrive at the park in the afternoon. Relax at the lodge while preparing for the night game drive. This is the only Park in Uganda where you can do a spotlight night drive. You may came a cross several species of animals such as leopard, big cats, the white tailed mongoose and slender mongoose, standard night pennant and winged night jars, plus several species of birds depending on the time of year. Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and game drive
After a gorgeous morning breakfast, you will go down into the beautiful gallery rainforest to track wild chimpanzees the closest relative of man. Other primates can also be seen during the track such as black and white colobus, blue monkeys. The guide will help to provide educative information not only to the chimps but also to other species that live in the forest. You may also have chance to see a number of forest birds such as yellow throated tinker bird, and Frasier’s ant-thrush, blue-breasted King fisher among others. You will return to the lodge for lunch and the chance to relax by the pool side and enjoy the serenity of the Lodge. In the late after noon you will go for a game drive, you may have a chance of seeing elephants, buffalo, leopard, lions among other. Drive slowly back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at.

Day 3: Semuliki –Queen Elizabeth National park.
Early in the morning after a cup of tea/coffee you will be leaving Semuliki National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park it can take about 3-4hours. You will drive through the attractive green countryside uphill the Western Rift Valley to Fort Portal. From here you will continue to the Park. The Park is characterized with tree climbing lions, leopards, elephants, hippos, buffaloes, Kob, hyena and over 615 rare species of birds like African skimmer, pick-backed pelicans and many more coupled with various species of primates such as Chimpanzee, Black and white Colobus Monkeys, Blue, Black Faced Red Colobus, among other dinner and an Overnight stay at ;

Day 4: Chimp tracking and Launch cruise.
Have an early cup of tea/coffee, leave for the 7.00am chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura gorge. This may give you a chance to see various primates most especially Chimpanzee our closest relative and many other species of primates such as Black and white Colobus monkeys, baboons and many wild animals like, buffalo, hyenas, elephants, antelopes, and many more. A slow drive to the lodge for breakfast, relaxation and lunch. After lunch, you will embark on a two hour’s launch cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. At The launch cruise expect to catch up with a thousand of hippos and crocodile that concentrate around the Lake. You will also see a variety of games drinking at the water’s edge such as Buffalo, warthogs and a great variety of birds on the shores including the open –billed stork, African Jacana, Great White and Pink-Backed Pelicans among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Game drive and return to Kampala.
Get a cup of tea/ coffee, then head to Kasenyi area of the Park for a game drive; here you may come across several giant species of animals such as elephant, lion, buffaloes, water bucks, kobs, hyena, and bush back among other. You will then drive back to Kampala enjoy lunch en rout and then continue to Entebbe Airport in order to meet your departure flight back home.
