5 Days Kibale and Lake Mburo National Park

Day 1: Depart to Kibale National Park.
Our company representatives will pick you up from your hotel at 7.00am and drive you to South west via Fort portal up to the Park the drive will take approximately 5-6 hours; arrive at the park in the afternoon. You will be pleased with the fantastic view of the amazing landscape of the Rwenzori Mountains and the local home stead as you go on to Kibale Forest National Park. You shall have a 1 hour break at Fort portal for lunch at Hotel View Rest Camp/Travelers Inn or its equivalent. Then proceed to the Park. Check in into your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay at.

Day 2: Chimp tracking and Nature walks.
Early in the morning get a cup of tea /coffee, report to a ranger station at 7.00am for a short briefing about chimps tracking the most exciting activity done at the park. Chimp tracking can take half a day searching for them. These funny apes, more closely related to humans than to any other living creature, are fabulous fun to watch as they play in fruiting trees. The guide will provide information not only to the primates, but also to other God’s creation that leave in the forest to ensure that the walk is enjoyable and informative. During the walk you may stop to listen to the calls of the chimps to avoid bypassing them in the dense forest. Chimps may be found doing their daily activities such as feeding, playing, and mothers feeding their babies among others. Other primates such as black and white Colobuses, the rare L’hoest monkey, bush baby, baboons and mammals like elephant, butterflies are expected to be seen. And bird lovers also have a chance to spot various species of birds like the yellow spotted nicator, rumped tinker birds among other. Come back at the Lodge for lunch and relaxation.
After lunch and relax, take a visit to Bigodi swamp sanctuary for a nature walk which may provide you with a chance to see over 229 tree species found within the wet tropical forests of the park. Plus also different primates such as, blue monkeys, baboons and a variety of birds. Come back at the lodge for dinner and an overnight at;

Day 3 Kibale Forest-Lake Mburo National Park:
Have breakfast and then depart to Lake Mburo National park, the journey takes about 7-8 hour’s drive. Stop at Mbarara for about an hour for lunch. After you will then head to Lake Mburo National Park. This is the best place in the country to see the gigantic eland, antelopes, as well as zebras, topis, impalas plus varies species of birds. While on the way crazy Ankole horned cows, tea plantations to mention but a few can be seen. Check in into your desirable Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at.

Day 4: Game drive and boat trip.
Have a cup of tea/coffee, then after go to the open grass land to catch up with the morning game drive to come a cross several species of wildlife that comes out from their hideouts. This may give you a chance to see a variety of wild animals such as impalas, zebras, antelopes, leopards, buffaloes, Crested Crane, and many more. Return back to the lodge for full breakfast and lunch.
After lunch, go on a boat trip along Lake Mburo, which may take about 1-2 hours. The boat trip may offer you an opportunity to view a variety of species such as hippo, crocodiles along the shores of the Lake. Further still, bird lovers may also have the advantage of enjoying a variety of bird species that include; the rare shoebill, Black crake, pelicans Cormorants, Fish Eagle, among others. Day 5 Depart to Kampala:
After a gorgeous breakfast, drive back to Kampala. Have a stop over at the equator for photography and snacks, after proceed to Kampala /Hotel/Entebbe depending on your departure flight.
End of 5 days safari to Kibale forest and Lake Mburo National Park.
