5 Days Bwindi Gorillas & Lake Mburo

5 Days Safari to Lake Mburo and Bwindi National Parks:
This safari takes you to Lake Mburo and Bwindi Impenetrable National parks. It involves various adventure activities that include Mountain Gorilla Tracking, bird watching, game drive and boat trip along the lake Mburo.

Day 1: Depart to Lake Mburo National Park:
Our safari tour guides will pick you up from your hotel and depart by road to Lake Mburo National Park, which takes about 3-5 hour’s drive via Mbarara town. You will have a short stop over at the Equator for an informative talk as well as a photographic opportunity, then after proceed to Mbarara for lunch before making our final drive to Lake Mburo National Park. While on the way to the park, Ankole horned cows, tea plantations, and many more can be seen, check in into your desirable lodge for leisure. After lunch go for a guided nature walk which may offer you a chance to admire nature, and also a chance to watch a variety of birds and many different species of wildlife such as zebra, impala, elephants, hyena and many more are expected to be seen. Retire from the forest and come back for dinner and an overnight stay at.

Day: 2 Game drive and boat trip.
Have a cup of tea/coffee, then after go to the open grass land to catch up with the morning game drive to come a cross several species of wildlife that comes out from their hideouts. This may give you a chance to see a variety of wild animals such as impalas, zebras, antelopes, leopards, buffaloes, Crested Crane, and many more. Return back to the lodge for full breakfast and lunch.
After lunch, go on a boat trip along Lake Mburo, which will take you between 1-2 hours. The boat trip may offer you an opportunity to view a variety of species such as hippo, crocodiles along the shores of the Lake. Further still, bird lovers will also have the advantage of enjoying a variety of bird species that include; the rare shoebill, Black crake, pelicans Cormorants, Fish Eagle, among others. Day 3: Lake Mburo-Bwindi National Park.
Have a morning breakfast and then embark on a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park which will take about 7-8 hours up to the park. This is one of the two parks in Uganda that hosts the endangered mountain gorillas and a variety of bird species. The trip will take you to the rolling green hills also known as the ‘’Switzerland of Uganda’. On the way various tea and banana plantations together with Ankole long horned cattle can be seen. Day 4: Gorilla tracking.
After an early breakfast, proceed to the Park Headquarters for a short briefing before enjoying the Gorilla trekking for the group booked for. The time you take to get to the Gorillas is very unpredictable because they keep on moving as they search for food and water. It might take between 3 to 8 hours. A reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a walking stick, strong pair of walking shoes, packed lunch and water. After, a guide will lead you to move inside the thick forest to search for endangered mountain gorillas, possibly one of the most exciting and memorable encounter with the great apes. On the way, you are entertained by baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, birds to mention but a few. You spend just an hour with the apes watching them as they interact. Day 5: Return to Kampala.
