3 Days Kibale Chimpanzee Safari

The safari will begin and finishes in Kampala Uganda’s capital. It will take you to one of the most visited Parks for Chimpanzee trekking in Uganda plus also other primates not found anywhere else in East Africa. Kibale forest National Park also has the most beautiful and the most tropical forest in the whole of Uganda which offers some excellent opportunities for primate and bird watching. The park is a home of over 13 species of primates coupled with chimpanzees, black and white Columbus, Red-tailed and grey cheeked Mangabeys, the rare L’hoest monkey, baboons, bush baby, so this has made Kibale forest National Park ideal for primate watching safaris in Uganda. The forest also is a home for leopards, bush pigs, elephants, butterflies among other.The safari will also enable you to take a visit to Bigodi swamp sanctuary for a nature walk through the chimpanzee forest, Communities walk and cultural heritage.

Day 1: From Kampala to the Park.
Our safari tour guide will pick you up from your Hotel at 7.00am and drive south west via Fort portal up to the Park. And the drive will take approximately 5-6 hours reach in the after noon, while keeping an eye to Ugandan way of life, traditional homesteads and farms among other. You will have a 1 hour break at Fort portal for lunch at hotel view rest comp/travelers inn. Then proceed to the Park. Check in for leisure dinner and an overnight stay at;

Day 2: Chimp Tracking and Nature Walk.
Early in the morning get a cup of tea /coffee, report to a ranger station at 7.00am for a short briefing about chimp trekking, the most exciting activity done at the park. Chimp tracking can take half a day searching for them and other primates. These funny apes, more closely related to humans than to any other living creature, are fabulous fun to watch as they play in fruiting trees. The guide will provide information not only to the primates, but also to other God’s creation that leave in the forest to ensure that the walk is enjoyable and informative. During the walk you may stop to listen to the calls of the chimps to avoid bypassing them in the dense forest. Other primates such as black and white Colobuses, the rare L’hoest monkey, bush baby, baboons and mammals like elephant, butterflies can be seen. And bird lovers may also have a chance to spot various species of birds like the yellow spotted nicator, rumped tinker birds among other. Come back at the hotel for lunch and relaxation.
After lunch, take a visit to Bigodi swamp sanctuary for a nature walk which may gift you with a chance to see over 229 tree species found within the wet tropical forests of the park. Plus also different primates such as, blue monkeys, baboons and a variety of birds. Come back at the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at.

Day 3: Depart to Kampala
