18 Days Uganda Wildlife Tour

Day 1: Arrival at the Airport and meet our safari tour guides who will brief you about the safari and then transfer you to your Hotel /Lodge and then prepare for tomorrow’s safari to Murchison Falls National park. Overnight stay at

Day 2: Leave to Murchison falls National Park.
Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel at 7.00am and drive North-East through the famous Luweero Triangle. Reaching Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary at around mid day. If you’re interested you can go Rhino tracking which takes about one hour. After tracking you will continue to Masindi Town with a good insight on the Ugandan way of life, open grass land and woodland savannah. Lunch break will be made at Masindi town at Kabalega Resort /New Court View Hotel or its equivalent. After proceed to the park stopping at the top of the falls which is an incredible sight. From here you will continue on, taking a ferry to cross the river up to your desirable Lodge.Game viewing on the way is very good; look out for hippos, crocodile elephants, and buffalos among other animals seeing grazing around the sand bank arriving at the Park in the evening. Day3: Game drive and lunch cruise
After a cup of tea or coffee, the guide will lead you inside the forest to watch a variety of animals that hideout with in the tropical forest. You expect to come a cross various species of wildlife such as Rothschild’s giraffe, buffaloes, Uganda kob, hyena, oribis, elephants, warthog, leopard. Among others. After a wonderful moment drive slowly back to the lodge for full breakfast and lunch. The lunch is followed by a two hour’s launch trip which will take you to the bottom of Murchison falls. You may be rewarded with a variety of hippos, buffaloes, crocodile, elephant antelopes among other that concentrate along the sand banks. Also if lucky, you may come a cross the rare shoebills and many water birds such as the fish eagle. Come back at the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale forest National Park.
After a gorgeous breakfast you will be driven through Masind, Hoima towns to arrive in time for lunch in Fortpotral at mountains of the Moon Hotel. The journey from Murchison to Kibale takes about 7-8 hours drive. After lunch proceed to Kibale Forest National Park which is about 35 kms from Fort portal dinner and an overnight stay at.

Day5: Chimp Tracking and Nature Walk.
Early in the morning get a cup of tea /coffee, report to a ranger station at 7.00am for a short briefing about chimp trekking, the most exciting activity done at the park. Chimp tracking can take half a day searching for them and other primates. These funny apes, more closely related to humans than to any other living creature, are fabulous fun to watch as they play in fruiting trees. The guide will provide information not only to the primates, but also to other God’s creation that leave in the forest to ensure that the walk is enjoyable and informative. During the walk you may stop to listen to the calls of the chimps to avoid bypassing them in the dense forest. Other primates such as black and white Colobuses, the rare L’hoest monkey, bush baby, baboons and mammals like elephant, butterflies can be seen. And bird lovers may also have a chance to spot various species of birds like the yellow spotted nicator, rumped tinker birds among other. Come back at the hotel for lunch and relaxation.
After lunch, take a visit to Bigodi swamp sanctuary for a nature walk which may gift you with a chance to see over 229 tree species found within the wet tropical forests of the park. Plus also different primates such as, blue monkeys, olive baboons, vervet monkeys, red tailed monkeys among others and a variety of bird species. Day 6: Transfer to Semuliki National Park.
After breakfast you will be transferred to Semuliki National Park which is a 2-3 hours drive up to the Park. This drive will take you down the Eastern side of Lake Albert situated in the Basin of Western Rift Valley up to the Park arriving in the afternoon. This is the only Park in Uganda where you can do a spot lit night drive. You may came a cross several species of animals such as leopard, big cats, the white tailed mongoose and slender mongoose, standard night pennant and winged night jars, plus several species of birds depending on the time of year. Day7: Chimp tracking and Game drive
After a gorgeous morning breakfast, you will go down into the beautiful gallery rainforest to track wild chimpanzees our closest relatives. Other primates such as black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, olive baboons, vervet monkeys among others can all be seen during the track. A guide will help to give educative information not only to the chimps but also to other species that live in the forest. You may also have a chance to see a number of forest birds such as yellow throated tinker bird, and Frasier’s ant-thrush, blue-breasted King fisher among others. You will return to the lodge for lunch and the chance to relax by the pool side and enjoy the gorgeousness of the Lodge. In the late afternoon you will go for a game drive, you may have a chance of seeing elephants, buffalo, leopard, antelopes, big cut, standard night pennant and winged night jars, among other. Day 8: Leave to Queen Elizabeth National Park;
Early in the morning after a cup of tea/coffee you will be leaving Semuliki National Park/Reserve to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will drive through the attractive green countryside eventually ascending to the Western Rift Valley to Fort Portal. From here you will continue to the Park. The Park is characterized with tree climbing lions, leopards, elephants, hippos, buffaloes, Kob, hyena and over 615 rare species of birds like African skimmer, pick-backed pelicans and many more coupled with  various species of primates such as Chimps, Black and white Colobus Monkeys, Blue, Black Faced Red Colobus, among other. You will arrive in the afternoon at the park for lunch at the Lodge. The evening is spent for leisure. Dinner and an overnight stay at.

Day 9: Game Drive and Launch Cruise;
Have an early breakfast, after go for a morning game drive to catch up with a variety of animals that rush out from their hideouts. You expect to see leopards, buffaloes, Kobs, elephants, lions, antelopes, bush pigs and many more. A slow drive to the lodge is made for full breakfast, relaxation and lunch. After lunch, you will embark on a two hour’s launch cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. The launch cruise may gift you with a chance to look at a thousand of hippos and crocodiles that concentrate around the Lake. You may also observe a variety of games drinking at the water’s edge such as Buffalo, warthogs and a great variety of birds on the shores including the open –billed stork, African Jacana, Great White and Pink-Backed Pelicans among others. Day 10: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Ntional Park;
After a heavy breakfast, you will embark on a drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will drive through the Southern sector of Queen Elizabeth known as Ishasha a place famously known for tree climbing lions, Enjoy lunch by the Ishasha River. And try to spot tree-climbing lions before proceeding to Bwindi National Park home of the few serving mountain gorillas in the world. The Park is also a home to over 345 species of birds and also supports 24 of 26 Albertine Rift Endemics that occur in Uganda so bird lovers are in position to spot out a number of them and the Parks incredible variety of flora. You will arrive at the Park in evening, dinner and an Overnight stay at.

Day 11: Mountain gorilla tracking.
After an early breakfast, proceed to the Park Headquarters for a short briefing about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas for the group booked for. The time you take to get to the Gorillas is very unpredictable because they keep on moving as they search for food and water. It may take between 3 to 8 hours. A reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a walking stick, strong pair of walking shoes, packed lunch and water, long sleeved shirts and browses. After, a guide will lead you to move inside the thick forest to search for the endangered mountain gorillas, possibly one of the most exciting and memorable encounter with the great apes. On the way, you will be entertained by baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, birds to mention but a few. You spend just an hour with the apes watching them as they interact. Day 12: Village walks and then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi;
Have early breakfast and then go for a guided village walk to visit the neighboring community (Batwa) learn about their ways of living such as how women make wives, they will perform traditional dance, introduce their traditional healers to you among other activities. Then after proceed to Lake Bunyonyi, the deepest Lake in Uganda. This is the bird’s paradise it hosts a wide range of small birds in all types so bird watching is rewarding. It is because of the very many little birds that leave around the lake shores from which the name suggests Lake Bunyonyi. This area is often called “Little Switzerland of Uganda” and boosts one of the most beautiful parts of the country. Relax or go for a canoe trip while you watch the beautiful sunset. Day 13. Lake Bunyonyi–Lake Mburo National Park;
Have a beautiful breakfast and after transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, and the drive will take approximately 4-5 hours with a scenic view all through. You will arrive at the park in the afternoon for lunch. On the way to the Park you are likely to see some wildlife, like impalas, topis, warthogs, zebras and buffaloes. Check in at your Hotel, after checking in you will go on a boat ride on the Lake and it may offer you an opportunity to view a variety of species such as hippo, crocodiles along the shores of the Lake, bird lovers will also have the advantage of enjoying a variety of bird species that include, Black crake, pelicans Cormorants, Fish Eagle, and the rare shoebill if lucky can also be seen among others. Day: 14 Game drive and then Kampala:

This morning begin with a game drive in the open grasslands. Expect to see a variety of wild animals such as impalas, zebras, antelopes, leopards, buffaloes, Crested Crane, elusive shoe bill stork and many more. Retire from the game drive for breakfast at the lodge and then after drive back to Kampala. You will have a brief stop at the equator for photographs and crafts to reach Kampala in the afternoon. Day 15: Kampala-Jinja.
Have an early breakfast and then after head to Jinja town which was ounce an industrial town and one of the largest cities in Uganda. Your drive will make you pass through Mabira Forest which is the biggest forest in Uganda; also you shall have a chance to see large tea and sugar cane plantations. Check in for relaxation at your desirable hotel/lodge, in the evening you will visit the source of the Nile (Africa’s longest River); this is a spot where John Speke first discovered the source of the Nile River. If time allows you will also go for a city tour in Jinja town and other interesting places in Jinja town. Meals and an overnight stay at;

Day 16: Transfer back to Kampala city tour;
Enjoy the early morning breakfast, after proceed to Kampala, before reaching Kampala city you will first visit the Namugongo shrine where Christian believers were burnt alive for failing to denounce their faith, preceede to Kampala and take a city tour. Enjoy lunch in Kampala and then after visit the Uganda Museum. This is the display of Uganda’s Cultural heritage where one can see natural historical exhibitions; it’s an exciting remainder of the city’s colorful past. Visit the Baha’i Temple, its called Mashrigui-Adhkar, the Persian translation of the drawing place of the praise of God, then also you will visit the Gadaffi Mosque, take a visit also to various market places. Drive slowly back to your Hotel/ Lodge for an overnight stay.

Day 17: Depart to Ngamba Island for Chimpanzee tracking.
Have a gorgeous breakfast, and then after you will be driven to Entebbe on Lake Victoria, then head to Ngamba Island which is about 25 kms from the shores of Entebbe. You will board a boat which will take you to the Island. The journey will take about one and a half hours and you will be in position to see fisher men and various species of Water Birds. The Island was purchased to provide a home for rescued chimpanzee and to create awareness of their plight. You will have a chance to see how they feed and also have a close encounter with the chimpanzee, and spend about 1 hour with the chimps. Chimps are closest relatives of man as they differ from human by only 1.3% of their DNA make up. So this close observation with the chimps is one of the most memorable moments in life one should not love to miss especially at Ngamba Island. Dinner and an Overnight stay at Ngamba Island Camp.

Day 18: depart to Entebbe/Hotel.
Enjoy a beautiful breakfast and then you will be driven to Entebbe /Hotel in order to catch up with your departure flight back home.
