12 Days Wildlife and Primate Watch Safari

This safari starts in Uganda and ends in Rwanda. It will enable you experience Uganda and Rwanda’s God gifted National Parks. It will make you experience the true wildness of Africa. Day1: Arriving at Entebbe air port:
On the arrival at Entebbe International Airport you will be met by our safari ambassadors who will transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe/ Kampala. Dinner and an Overnight stay at

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park:
Our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel at 7.00am and drive North-East through the famous Luwero triangle arriving in the evening. The drive will take approximately 5-6 hours. It will give you a good insight on the Ugandan way of life, different tea plantation, open grass land and woodland savannah. Along the roadside will be vegetables and fruits for sale. You will have a stop over at Masindi town for lunch. After proceed to the park stopping at the top of the falls which is an incredible sight. From here we will continue on, taking a ferry across the river up to the Lodge. Game viewing on the way is very good; look out for hippos, crocodile elephants, and buffalos among other animals seeing grazing around the sand bank. Check in and relax into your room. Day 3: Game drive and launch cruise:
After a cup of tea or coffee, the guide will lead you to the forest to watch a variety of animals that hide out with in the tropical forest. The forests are famous to be a home for over 70 mammal species such as jackals, hyenas, giraffe, lion, antelopes, elephants, the Uganda Kob, warthogs, leopards, and buffaloes, among others. After a wonderful moment drive slowly back to the lodge for a full breakfast and lunch. After lunch and relaxation, you will go for a boat trip up to the bottom of the great Murchison Falls. Expect to get close to a variety of animals over 4000 amazing hippos, in addition to some huge Nile crocodiles, Antelopes, elephants, lots of birds including the fish eagle, storks, if lucky you may see the rare shoebills and so many more. Day 4: Murchison Falls-Kibale Forest National Park.

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking and Nature walk in Bigodi swamps:
Early in the morning get a cup of tea /coffee, report to a ranger station at 7.00am for a short briefing about chimp trekking, the most exciting activity done at the park. Chimp tracking can take half a day searching them and other primates. These funny apes, more closely related to humans than to any other living creature, are fabulous fun to watch as they play in fruiting trees. The guide will provide information not only to the primates, but also to other God’s creatures that leave in the forest to ensure that the walk is enjoyable and informative. During the walk you may stop to listen to the calls of the chimps to avoid bypassing them in the dense forest. Other primates such as black and white Colobuses, the rare L’hoest monkey, bush baby, baboons and mammals like elephant, butterflies can be seen. And bird lovers may also have a chance to spot various species of birds like the yellow spotted nicator, rumped tinker birds among other. Come back at the hotel for lunch and relaxation.
After lunch, take a visit to Bigodi swamp sanctuary for a nature walk which may gift you with a chance to see over 229 tree species found within the wet tropical forests of the park. Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Early in the morning after a cup of tea/coffee you will be leaving kibale forest National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Day 7: Game drive and launch cruise:
Have an early breakfast and then go for a morning game drive to catch up with a variety of animals that rush from their hideout. You may have a chance to see leopards, buffaloes, Kobs, elephants, lions and many more. A slow drive to the lodge for full breakfast, relaxation and lunch. Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest:
After a beautiful breakfast, you will embark on a drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will drive through the Southern sector of Queen Elizabeth known as Ishasha, Enjoy lunch by the Ishasha River. And try to spot tree-climbing lions before proceeding to Bwindi National Park home of the few surviving mountain gorillas in the world. Day 9: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park:
After an early breakfast, proceed to the Park Headquarters for a short briefing about the dos and don’ts before go Gorilla trekking. The time you take to get to the Gorillas is very unpredictable because they keep on moving as they search for food. It may take between 3 to 8 hours. A reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a strong pair of walking shoes, together with packed lunch and water. After, a guide will lead you to move inside the thick forest to search for these endangered mountain gorillas, possibly one of the most exciting and memorable encounter with the great apes. On the way, you are entertained by baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, birds to mention but a few. You spend just an hour with the apes watching them as they interact. After a full satisfaction, come back to the lodge for relaxation. Or if you have energy this afternoon go for a guided village walk, see the local communities living around the park, (Batwa pygmy). Visit their homestead they will perform their cultural dance. Watch women how they make their weaves, they will introduce their traditional healers to you among other activities. Day 10: Transfer to Rwanda;
After a morning breakfast, you will cross the boarder to Rwanda (N.B clock will go one hour back ward). Enjoy lunch en route. Continue to the park while enjoying a scenic view and the fantastic foothills of the volcano that make up volcanoes national park. Arrive in the evening at the park for dinner and an overnight stay

Day 11: Gorilla tracking in Volcanoes National Park:
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for a short briefing about the dos and don’ts while with the giant apes. After, get accompanied by a ranger guide who will lead you to the forest to search for the gorillas for the group booked for. The time spent searching for these giants is unpredictable as it depends on their movements, but once it happen to come across these apes, you will forget all the troubles you have passed through and begin enjoying watching them, you may find them doing their daily activities like feeding, playing, mother feeding their young ones among others. The 1 hour spent with these gorillas is so rewarding, return back to the lodge for leisure. Or if you happen to have the evening free you may go for Ibyiwacu community walk in the Banyarwanda community meet the local people that live around the park. Day 12: Depart to Kampala
Early in the morning after breakfast, drive back to Uganda. Stopover is made in various markets to buy art and crafts if interest. Enjoy lunch en route, and then you will be transferred to your convenience place depending on your departure flight and say farewell to Uganda and Rwanda.
